Insomniac Shopping Club + Stylish Sex + Jeremy Scott Runway Snaps
That’s right. When you go to bed at 4PM, you wake up around 1AM and think it’s 6AM, and then a whole new world of schedule malfunction opens up before you like a vast sea of off-kilter efforts and to-do lists that aren’t quite in focus. Luckily there’s online window shopping to stimulate the senses…

…before inevitably “getting to work” until 6AM (and then crashing again). Need some mega-life coaching and schedule adjustment.
Who is the most relaxed, chill person in the fashion industry? How do they do it? Is there job really that important? Do they have wrinkles? And if so, are they from stressing or laughing? Seems like Jenna Lyons has it together. Call me, Jenna. Need some advice plz.
In condom news, the NYFW designer x Proper Attire collaborations continued this season (except this is the first time in a while that I didn’t get my hands on any—boo!). This time, with Rebecca Minkoff. She says, “I loved the idea of designing a condom that was made by a woman for a woman. I got to use my classic studded Rebecca Minkoff design and apply it to the packaging, making a condom that girls can feel comfortable carrying with them.”
Sadly, the actual designs are probably the least exciting since the collaborations kicked off. The Vena Cava condoms were my fav.
In NYFW runway news, I was at Jeremy Scott’s spring 2012 show earlier today and happy to report the show opened with denim, and then morphed into a dude ranch sex shop scenario with ass-less chaps and other novelties. My seat was awful but I got some cute shots form the waist up.
Here’s a (really) quick video I made of the show:
I saw Waris Ahluwalia (among other less exciting SEO-friendly names) but decided not harass him for my twice-annual Waris Q&A (mostly because I’d lost my voice by that time). I did wander and snap some street style and enticing visuals before I ran back to my Alka-Seltzer and honey-tea.
Street style and detail shots of stylish folk lurking around Milk Studios tomorrow. I am exhausted and I want to sleep. Tomorrow is the last day of NYFW (I only have one show—one I am really looking forward to). But the fun doesn’t end here. Or at least, the work doesn’t! Coterie and (capsule) are directly after. See you there?
Lastly, we are throwing a party tonight (Thursday). The usual trans-global dance party at el Vulgaro (AKA the Bulgarian Bar) but the chances you’ll actually see me there are slim, unless the good health faerie flies through my window tonight.
