Colorful Glass & Recommended Reading
Super productive, inspiring Tuesday! I declared it Bollywood Tuesday this morning (in an isolated Skype conversation, but really, I just had to convince myself). So Pandora was a mix of Cortex Cure Holiday & contemporary Bollywood all day. Mood lifter! I also ran errands during my lunch break and picked up pumpkin nail polish, some colored glass mini-tumblers (they look great in the Gin Room), and got my copy of Goddess Guidebook founder Leonie’s newest book. Call me an eccentric cheeseball, but I love how uplifting her whole website is.

They’re not in the best condition, but they were $0.99 each, and they deserve a good home. ♡

… and that home = the Gin Room!
If you don’t know the story of the Gin Room, it’s the middle room between our office and kitchen, which had not much use other than craft/storage/vintage stash until we added a mini bar, incidentally stocked with gin, before our house warming party last summer. Now it is a multi-purpose room that serves many functions, but we’re working on making it more lounge-friendly.

Oops. My kitchen just got jealous and it demands some representation as well. Okay, fine, kitchen. I love you just as much as I love the gin room.

Leonie’s book, waiting to be read tonight! Books are my new reason to spend less time on the computer. I just finished breezing through The Martha Rules and I have this incredible stack of small business & self help books to plow through by my personal deadline of June 30th, 2012.

In other news… links, products & items of note:
→ We’re giving away a denim distress kit from Atrium at Denim Therapy this week—contest ends tomorrow!
→ Scary green neon skull earrings on Nasty Gal (AKA must-have fall accessory)
→ Post-it note watches so you don’t forget your next meeting, seems both clever and incredibly wasteful.
→ Sending positive energy to Jenna Lyons—every blog is reporting that her faerie tale life is anything but right now.
→ Wow, this Alexander McQueen scarf is only $560! Let’s buy two.
→ Pantone Xmas balls. Holiday decor for design geeks. I myself just picked up some stellar sparkling dollar store bulbs and blinking gift-box shaped lights. Will December get here already? Do we really have to do November this year?
→ Male models duking it out on the runway. Hot stuff!
→ Lindsay Wixon rides a giant hamster wheel. Why? No one knows.
Off to do some reading & tea drinking.

Thank you, it’s a really beautiful kitchen… the only apartment I have ever been in NYC with mint green walls. I love it!
