Things You Need This Winter: Ear Muffs, Chanel Band-aids, Costume Jewelry

I never buy ear muffs. Most winters come and go without them. Every time I step outside in a blizzard I think, “I should get some ear muffs,” but by the time I am indoors thawing out at La Taverna or some equally good place for hot beverage & shrimp ravioli, sitting in little dollhouse chairs staring out the window, I forget about the purchase of this essential winter accessory.

Not this year though!

I was so surprised that these weren’t sold out, I shelled out for a pair—and they’re not bad at $21.56. There are also a pair of Elmo-esque red ear muffs and, in general, an all-star assortment for every taste.

Other things you must get your hands on:

★ Chanel (and other designer label) bandages. Get these before the website selling them gets sued by Chanel.

★ Any of these beautiful scarves from CLOSED. They’ll add some modest color pop to your outerwear look.

★ A pair of fluffy racoon fur boots. Or faux-fur boots if you prefer.

★ Perfect glittery navy blue nail polish for under $3

★ The epic Versaille Dye Glam Necklace, for Christmas Eve OR New Year’s Eve. Seen below.

New School Kellen Auditorium, 66 Fifth Ave
MUST BE 18+, LADIES & GENTS BOTH WELCOME! Guys must be at least 5’9″, ladies must be at least 5’7″. Ladies, bring heels to walk in. All models must bring a photo we can keep. Models must commit to four fittings and the final runway show weekend (early March). More information will be given at the casting.

Fusion is the relentlessly creative runway showdown between the best two fashion schools in the country—FIT vs. Parsons—propelled by Fusion lovers for twelve years and counting. Fusion alumni include Prabal Gurung, Alexander Wang, Chris Benz, and many more.
