Masks, Lights, Links & The Fred Flare Office
Refinery29 found the Tibi hat’s twin for $8! That’s like 90% off retail price. However, they found it on St. Mark’s place, so some treasure hunting and haggling will be involved. I bet you can haggle it down to $5! If you’re unfamiliar with the hat legacy, read it here.
I will blog substantially soon—past couple days have been le busy. So for now, here are some great links and a shot of my kitchen wall. My gift box shaped blinking dollar store xmas lights have really snazzed the place up!
This super rad fake polaroid was shot on my phone with my new favorite Android app—Retro Camera.
→ Denim Therapy’s guide to buying denim, divided by price point. From under $100 to over $250.
→ Need some holiday party inspiration? Tommy Hilfiger’s getting pretty festive. The question is, where are you going to find so many preppy, perfect party guests if you’re not Blair Waldorf? Think I’d rather throw/attend this kinda party.
→ Six dresses to wear to Thanksgiving Dinner—I love that comfort is the factor here, because we all know how awful it is to wear a high-waisted skirt and then stuff yourself until you can’t breathe (like I did the first time I had dinner at Raffa’s mom’s house).
→ A rad DIY necklace tutorial involving rhinestone necklaces and nail polish. Whoda’thought? The finished product looks shockingly close to the designer original. This looks almost as fun as playing with a Lite Brite.
→ Gift idea: a measuring tape… disguised as a casette tape. How witty! Are you into witty gifts? Does anyone actually use things like this after the “oh, haha, how neat!” wears off on December 26th? I am guilty of giving wit for Xmas, but I stick to what’s awesome and use-able all year.
P.S. I went to the Fred Flare warehouse today in Greenpoint, Brooklyn—how cute & clean is this office? They have a big framed sign on the wall that says “WORK HARD AND BE NICE TO PEOPLE”. I love that.
