Wow, what a season! Between hosting the Sugar x Spice Market, launching the holiday collection for Hey Mishka Vintage, and seeing friends and family for various festive activities, this has been one of the most exciting and festive Decembers yet. After making merry in Brooklyn, we headed to the Hudson Valley and woke up on Christmas morning to gifts, treats, and sweet little Guinness. Here are a few of my favorite moments…
Welcome to Christmas in Brooklyn! We hung up some stockings and set up our tree. It’s hard to put into words how happy this scene makes me…
Brooklyn is covered in lights and decor this time of year. It’s fun just to walk around and soak it all in.
As you can see, my festivity spilled into the dining room, too… 🙂
E had a show at Capybara and the drums broke, so people took turns sitting on the floor holding them together while bands performed. DIY life, baby!
Some freshly baked bread…
Paris Baguette! A quick trip to the Korean bakery is the perfect way to get into the festive mood…
Krystal whipped up some eggnog for a warm and fuzzy holiday hang.
As usual, Anabelle basically made me melt by being her own special mix of chaotic and affectionate (mostly the latter). She cuddled with us on the couch while we watched cheesy movies.
Krystal gifted me a set of markers (they’re officially my favorite now, they have a fine point tip that makes drawing and writing sublime) and a delicious-smelling candle that makes the entire apartment smell like fresh-baked cookies. When your bff knows, she knows!
The promotional cards for Hey Mishka Vintage make me so happy! Check out the epic, festive lookbook here.
We did another photoshoot for the product photos in a cool yoga studio in Williamsburg. Erin was my superstar assistant and Maya was gorgeous and brought the clothes to life!
A few goodies from my market. I love shopping around and seeing what these creative vendors are dreaming up! Check out more photos from the market here.
At the office, we were gifted some makeup from a coworker who’s also a beauty influencer. So generous!
The company gifted us a custom-embroidered PJ set, too!
It looks like Santa is ready to do some gifting…!
Our new favorite winter tradition? Stopping for pizza while we wait for the laundry to finish.
Finally, we made the trek to the Hudson Valley to celebrate with the family.
Little Guinness! He loves lounging under the tree.
…but he doesn’t love wearing antlers. He still puts up with them for a photo or two. 😉
He would much rather be sleeping on dad’s lap. ❤️
Santa was here! (And yes, we’re watching Babes in Toyland in the background.)
Dad and Grandma Janet!
Mom set the table for dinner. Isn’t it gorgeous? I love when the Christmas plates come out!
My beautiful, festive mama!
After dinner, some Baileys and dessert. Life is sweet!
And now, it’s time to do some self-reflection and prepare for the new year.
I hope you had a wonderful holiday season. Thanks for another year of incredible memories.
Until the next post!
P.S. Did you catch the photos of our gingerbread party? It was a blast!
