It might go without saying that one of my favorite things about fall is the brilliant change in leaf color. We’re so lucky to experience the full spectrum of seasons in the North East, with hot sultry summers and colorful, crisp autumns.
Since the pandemic chilled out for a bit in the summer and fall, I did a bit of cruising around his October, appreciating the ever-changing foliage a bit more with each trek. We did a weekend trip to Maya’s and I celebrated my birthday with the fam in the Hudson Valley. Afterward, I had a lot of footage on my phone of driving through the trees.
I thought it would be a shame for that lovely footage to sit on my hard drive, unshared, so I tried something a little different. I made an atmospheric video of all the driving footage (doing my best to edit out the bumpy parts) and set it to some soothing music.
The result is below! If you’re looking for a bit of an escape, this might be it.
This is my first time making a video like this, so I hope you forgive the quality. Next time I’ll use my gimble and perhaps a real camera, to really capture the vibrancy.

Here are a few still snaps of the most vibrant foliage:
I hope your October is wrapping up nicely and that your (safe) Halloween plans are coming together!
Until next time…
