Holiday Decorating & Dinner Parties! Christmas in NYC (Vlogmas)
It’s happening… We’re finally decorating the tree! Join me for another festive installment of my holiday vlog series. We’ll sip some Baileys, visit friends for a lovely holiday dinner, bake cookies and toss some ornaments on this cute little tree (at long last).
Decorating the tree means this season is officially in full swing, and I couldn’t be happier. We’ll also see some neighborhood decorations and go for a few chilly walks—because it’s finally getting cold out there. Yes, another #vlogmas is here!

Shall we do some holiday baking? Here’s the recipe for the cookies I made in the video. It comes from a vintage Good Housekeeping cookbook and I’ve been making these with my mom since I was little!
🍪 My Favorite Choco-Chip Cookie Recipe 🍪
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup packed light-brown sugar
- ½ cup butter, softened (not melted)
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 6-oz package semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Pre-heat oven to 375 F. Combine dry and wet ingredients and mix to a smooth consistency. Mix in choco chips and nuts. Roll into balls and bake on a parchment paper-covered cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes. Enjoy!
