Hey friends! I’m endeavoring to get back into the swing of things with vlogging this month.
I’ve been so out of it after wedding planning and all of the intensity involved in that. Now that I’m back at my desk and revving up my editing software, I’m excited to share the weeks leading up to the big day!
Hang out with me for a few days of housekeeping, client work, and wedding prep in Brooklyn—and a sweet trip to the Hudson Valley for my bridal shower.
We got married last week (yes, a wedding vlog is coming) and now I’m scrambling to catch up on life, including editing. Little by little. Watch it below or right here on my YouTube channel!
There’s more creative living vlog inspo where this came from, so subscribe to the Hey Mishka YouTube channel for more if this is your cup of tea. 🙂 My goal is to hit 500 subs this year.
As always, here are a few BTS snaps from around the same time as I filmed the vlog:
I made some corsages and boutonnieres for E’s family who couldn’t be at the wedding. We sent a care package along with some place settings, rice paper confetti and other fun things.
Thanks to retrograde, the package went MIA for a while, but then popped up right on time a couple of days before the wedding. I was exceptionally relieved!
After lots of messy DIY, I gave my home office a thorough cleaning and tried to infuse some spring energy into the space.
This little gem didn’t make it to social media. But here’s a pic of me that E snapped when I decided to nap in the office on a fold-out mattress. Oh-so-flattering. But I kind of love randomly captured, not very flattering moments like this after a lifetime of trying to get “good” angles of myself. After a certain point, I guess you stop taking yourself so seriously. It comes and goes (lol).
There was a stunning, gasp-worthy sunset this month that I couldn’t stop filming and photographing. It was just wild.
This photo, taken with my actual camera, is the closest to the epic hues that we saw in the sky. I mean…!
The only thing more impressive? Probably my guy’s hair.
A few at-home snaps… Dinner for two, a semi-clean living room (our apartment is micro-sized) and the back yard, which has been in need of some TLC after a long winter.
Eduardo planning his outfit for the wedding. I love how these colors go together.
I took a trip upstate to spend some time with my nearest and dearest… I think my level of pre-wedding exhaustion is painfully evident here. My skin was breaking out, I had under-eye circles, and I couldn’t even get my bangs to fall in one direction. 😉
The very path where we would soon be married. Those are my hand prints in the sidewalk, by the way, from when we first moved into my parent’s house many years ago.
My handsome nephew. He’s just too much.
As you’ll see in the vlog, mom organized a beautiful Victorian tea party-style bridal shower for me and it was pure magic. I wish I had remembered to take a few more photos of the thoughtful details, but it was a whirlwind day. I’ll never forget it!
On my way back to the city an impressive storm rolled in. I took a fast-forward video of the clouds rolling toward me from the train station platform. You can see it in the vlog, of course.
More vlogs coming your way. I have plenty of footage to edit. In fact, many cups of tea will be required to get through this pile of memories. 😉
See you again soon…
